Recipient Highlight: The WellHouse

The WellHouse exists to honor God by rescuing and providing opportunities for restoration to female victims of human trafficking who have been sexually exploited.

The WellHouse is the only 24-hour shelter offering immediate housing assistance to women being prostituted in the Southeast. Why is this the case, you may wonder. Other shelters have entry requirements that, as The Wellhouse says, undermine a woman’s access to an immediate, safe environment. The road blocks are things such as state identification, proof of homelessness, and other prerequisites.

These victims have been stripped of these from their abusers.

This is why The WellHouse does not require qualifying information. Their program assists in obtaining the identification and documentation they need in order to rebuild their lives.
